The problem is that the NSTextView hasn't had a chance to inspect the event and hasn't decided there is any marked text. In general you do not want to use "keyDown:" as a way to capture text input, see:




I also tried to forward the keyDown event to the NSTextView, but it does not mark text either.


What event should I forward to the NSTextView for it to handdle marked text correctly?
