I wish they would have spent a little more effort on a plug-in API
(rather than making pretty notepad paper or capsule icons) for
Leopard. Six releases now (10.0 - 10.5) and still no sign of a plug-in
API.
This is a very frustrating topic. I highly recommend you also file
bugs against Apple Mail as well. Lack of a plug-in API for Mail is
just sad.
Sadly, it reminds me of the typical 90's Apple where developers were
constantly left to fend for themselves on basic issues.
Again, anyone interested in being able to extend Apple Mail needs to
file a bug with Apple.
