Unable to Focus Application

At times when developing my cocoa app, there are some seemingly random times
when my application, upon building and running from xcode, is not focused
and cannot be made so any way. I.e., the window title is faded, I can't
select it, and it doesn't register to any clicks, although I can move it.
Almost always I solve this solution by just cleaning the solution and
running again, although once or twice I have had to restart the machine.
After this is done, everything works again. I thought the problem was
isolated to me, but recently one of my customers has complained that the app
is not selectable to them as well. Is this a problem that others have
noticed, and if so, how can I go about fixing it?
