Notification of device insertion/removal

  • Subject: Notification of device insertion/removal

Is there a notification when an audio device is inserted/removed? I'm searching through AppKido's listing of the various notifications, but I don't see any for this, or hardware in general for that matter. Does such a thing exist in Cocoa? Would I have to look at the IOKit? Right now, I'm using a callback with CoreAudio and it works just fine, just wondering if I might be missing other options.
Thanks
