Install the developer tools, and run /Developer/Applications/
Performance Tools/Quartz debug.app
Go to the tools menu and select "Show User Interface Resolution"
On Tiger, there are the occasional display glitches... later large
cats should look much better.

Well alot of my mac mates are using mac mini's as media centers for
their telly's.
ATM they're using a rather outdated and difficult to use utility
which I was considering giving a make over.
So, the primary purpose of the application is to allow users to
manipulate their screen resolutions to suit their televisions
requirements.
So changing the screen res is the primary purpose of the app :D

Just wondering if there's any way of changing the screen
resolution for the user?
There is (you can probably find out how by searching around), but
why? IMHO programs have to have a really good reason to change the
user's screen resolution.
