prevent sorting in bound table column

I have a table view with 1 single table column that is bound to a model.
When I click on the header the order of the items is destroyed by
sorting the alphabetically.
is there any way to prevent this behavior... I would like nothing to
happen when the user clicks the table header.
I tried disabling column reordering and resizing but that wouldnt do it.
Any hints on this appreciated.
