Are you saying you somehow managed to get a Cocoa view into a Carbon window? That's not supported as of Tiger, but various times it has been said that it was the intention to eventually support this.

With respect to "eventually support[ing] this" Apple, in the person of Eric Schlegel, has mentioned publicly (specifically http://lists.apple.com/archives/carbon-dev//2007/Jun/msg00476.html) that Leopard will contain an HICocoaView that you can use to embed an NSView in a Carbon environment.
