And honestly, few people these days really learn straight C. Most of
us learn C++ syntax, even if you never learn about classes and member
functions. I mean, really, who doesn't like // comments?
A minor nit: as of C99, "//" comments *are* straight C :)
Are you sure? I thought that was adopted in C89.
