How to build a Universal Binary Framework from Open Source?

Well, I've already asked something similar in a recent message, and after some time reading http://developer.apple.com/opensource/ opensourceuniversalframework.html I've not been able to find a proper way to know which files I've to Add to the Project. In the link above explains with an ideal example how to do it, but when I try to do the same with Taglib source code, it seems to be a little bit more difficult. I've read all the Makefile but I can't find which files I need to add. Does anybody know a way to do that?

There's something else. Why in the example of the link above the library builds as "library_name.a" and mine build as "library_name.la" ?

Thans in advance.
