NSPopUpButton sizeToFit - changed in leopard?

on tiger, sizeToFit for an NSPopUpButton would return the size of the popup given the currently selected item. empiracally, it appears that on leopard, sizeToFit returns the size as if the largest menu item is selected.

can anyone tell me whether or not teh above assumption based on my empiracal tests is correct?

i didn't see this mentioned in the leopard release notes. did i miss something?
