The FAQ states that setKeys:triggerChangeNotificationsForDependentKey: will *not* work, so that the API is deprecated isn't really relevant. The same issue applies to keyPathsForValuesAffectingValueForKey:, although the documentation should make that clear too.

The principles behind the solution described are fairly straightforward...
