This issue isn't an aspect of Cocoa (Cocoa is a framework) but of
Objective-C/C++ language issue (in reality a C issue).

What is your programming language background... you coming from Java
experience base?

I come from C and Java, but I do already know something of obj_msg_send() etc. that make obj-c work.
