Well, insofar as Cocoa is the de-facto standard library for Objective-
C (unless you're David Stes), I'd expect any book about Objective-C
to cover at least the basics of Cocoa as well.
That's where most of the interesting bits would be, anyway - there's
really not *that* much to the language itself.
Or you could read the book he's already written: http://
www.amazon.com/Object-oriented-Programming-Brad-Cox/dp/0201103931/
sr=11-1/qid=1171264556/ref=sr_11_1/002-8639935-4094432
That one's pretty far outdated, isn't it? It predates OpenStep, so it
wouldn't cover later language additions like categories or protocols.
And if it gets into library issues at all, it's be talking about the
ICPak libraries, not Foundation & AppKit.
It looks like a fascinating look into the history of Objective-C,
just not very practical for day-to-day use. I might just order it for
curiosity's sake - it looks like Amazon has some used copies for less
than a buck, so why not?
