Appropriate control for a set

  • Subject: Appropriate control for a set

Text Fields are tailored on strings, Popup Buttons are good for enum's, but how should I prompt the user for a set?

What is the best UI control (or combination of) to allow the user to choose one or more values from a set? A matrix of checkboxes scares me...
