No need to guess. There's a video from WWDC '06 on iTunes that
explicitly mentions this problem. Yes, it is solved with a 64-bit app.
...and those are still under the standard ADC account NDA, even the
ones available to online accounts (at least according the site thats
grant you access to the recorded sessions).
