What do you mean by 'Windows'? Win32? ATL? MFC? .NET? ...

If it's .NET, then there are quite a few object persistence frameworks
to chose from. They all do things slightly differently and are quite
different from the mechanics of Core Data (to a degree).
Your best bet would be to ask on a technology-specific mailing
list/forum/newsgroup about the various frameworks for it.
