Figuring out if we have an active gateway

  • Subject: Figuring out if we have an active gateway

Hello,
Apologies if this has been asked before, or is in the docs...if so, just give me a link. I did try searching already though.
My app retrieves XML from the web every few seconds. I do this through a framework so I'm not using NSURL-anything.
My question is, how can I ask the system if the computer's current network configuration has at least one active gateway? I.e. how can I make sure that the XML retrieval will be successful BEFORE I try to retrieve it?
Thanks!
Paul
