NSCollectionView is a Leopard API. Leopard is still under NDA, and
not to be discussed on this list.
Hi Scott,
I'll be more than happy to take the real discussion offline in private email.
And to stave off the inevitable follow-up comment.. there is no
public list for NDA discussion, and if you think there should be
please contact DTS.
I've actually asked many times, since the release of 10.0, for SOME
way for developers who beta test new OS X releases to communicate.
Apple has always taken these requests, acknowledging the fact, but
never actually done anything about it.
I am on an island here an it sucks. And I must not be the only one.
Apple is doing an OK job with the Leopard Dev Center, but the most
crucial thing that is missing is a way for developers in the same beta
program to communicate with each-other. Not only would that help the
developers, it would also help Apple to pinpoint problems and improve
on actual feedback instead of just on bug reports.
We've all been doing this already in private conversations, through
email, in coffee houses when developers meet, on irc in private
messages, etc. But it would be nice to have an official forum.
I'll email DTS and Developer Relations again. But I don't have much hope :-)
S.
