NSColorWell, bindings, and multiple selection

Hi all,

Has anyone used an NSColorWell in the detail part of a master-detail
interface that supports multiple selection? What is NSColorWell's behaviour?

It seems to me that if there are several items (with different colours
in their model) selected, then the NSColorWell simply shows itself as
'black'. A textfield does something nicer, that is, it draws the words
"Multiple Values" in grey. Is there a way to get something nicer from
NSColorWell, or is its behaviour limited as described?

Thanks,
