making a screen dump app

Hi

I would like to iterate trough all windows visible on the screen, and make screen shots of the content in the windows.

Since the GWPort is deprecated I have troubles to access the content in the window. Please could somebody suggest what is the right approach.

Futher how is it possible to get hold of all visible windows from all running application.

Suggestions either in cocoa or carbon are most welcome
