Current status of MiscKit

I run over an really ancient OPENSTEP/Rhapsody application I want to port to current Mac OS X now. Obviously that app seems to use the MiscKit which in turn seems to be rather rusty meanwhile. I remember mails from Don Yachtman that he is indeed working on a new version but then again it has been a while since he stated that. So I want to know if MiscKit is still been worked on or if it is a dead project by now.
