Well, the current experience is less pleasurable overall, because
ZeroLink introduces bugs and errors which are very difficult to
diagnose.

So? Even merely "perceptual" time savings make the user experience
more pleasurable. Where user experience is concerned, perception
often trumps reality.
Software doesn't have to be faster to feel faster. Software that
feels faster will keep users happier than software that actually is
faster but feels slower. Hardcore nuts-and-bolts tech types like us
sometimes have trouble accepting this.
