But that shouldn't matter. Really you ought to have proper accessor
methods rather than relying on the instance variables.

I have a custom object that I am binding to my
interface. Of course I am populating this object from
a query to a database. After I query the backend and
assign all my values (some NSStrings, some NSDates) I
use the addObserver..... to watch my ivars for
changes.
