Just found this on Cocoa Blogs: http://
fromaremotevillage.blogspot.com/2007/04/cocoa-application-with-custom-
core_29.html -- all about how to embed QC in your app.

Andrew,
I had been going to say that I didn't know of any way short of
using a lot of Carbon code to access the iSight, but then I thought
of Quartz Composer (located in /Developer/Applications/Graphics
Tools). It has a patch called the Video Input, which lets you
really easily include video from your an iSight or other video
source (you can choose if something other than an iSight is
available) into your composition. You can then publish an "image"
output for the Video Importer, although since I haven't tested this
I'm not sure what exactly that output gives you. In theory that
output should, I believe, be available to your app. In the patch
settings (under Inspector), you can choose what kind of output you
want -- for example, choose "Photo- JPEG" and choose the quality.
Then I assume it's a matter of dragging a QCView into your nib and
wiring it up (although this also something I can't elaborate on,
since I haven't gotten that far myself yet.)
I'm not sure if Leopard's Picture Taker Panel (http://
developer.apple.com/leopard/overview/) will suit your needs, but if
it looks like it might, that's probably by far a much more elegant
solution if you can wait for it.

Hi,
Ive been googling around for a while and yet to find a solution
that is nice and simple, or one with even instructions.
Anyway does anyone know of a way to grab a image from the iSight
and then store it in a NSImage?
