Place for app version value in document wrapper

Hi folks,

I've scoured the docs, but can't seem to find an answer... Is there a Apple-sanctioned place to put the version of application that a document was created/modified with in the document itself? My documents have a config plist for per-document-based preferences. App version info could go there. However, if there is an "official" way, that would will be followed.
