Artifacts in toolbar

Hi,

I'm trying to use a custom view (two, actually) in my toolbar, and I'm getting really weird redraw artifacts (maybe 5-10 pixels wide) on either side of the toolbar when I toggle it on. Does anyone have any idea why this could be? What are the chances it's a bug? For a screenshot of what's happening, see http://homepage.mac.com/ sstigler1985/toolbarArtifacts.png. I at first tried to have the NSSegmentedControl on its own (without its enclosing custom view), but that brought an assertion error at runtime. I tried to debug this by limiting the width of the window to the width of the toolbar (so it wouldn't have to redraw as much), but that didn't fix the problem. Some code I think might be relevant can be found at http:// homepage.mac.com/sstigler1985/toolbarCode.html.

Thanks,
Sam
