This doesn't solve Manuel's problem but might provide a clue.
I encountered the same problem the other day but with two twists.
Unlike Manuel's case, I had been pleased that the Print dialog was
correctly showing the number of copies my app requested. But then
suddenly, after weeks of working correctly, it began to incorrectly
show just one copy, just as in Manuel's case.
And, just as in Manuel's case, in the absence of the Print dialog the
printing system continues to correctly print the number of copies
my app requests.
As a further, spooky twist, the Print dialog continues to show the
correct number of copies on my client's machine. They are running the
same version of the app and the same Mac OS X version -- 10.4.9.
Perhaps its time for a bug report, or an aspirin.
