 If I'm interpreting this thread correctly, you've got a transparent
overlay window atop these graph views. Correct?

 If so, you'd catch the event in whatever overlay view you're using
in your transparent window and deal with it as necessary.

 If not (ie, I've misinterpreted), clarify, please. :-)
