I wrote up a test app finally; should have done that in the first place. With
my test app it seems to work for either arrangedObjects or selection. So, it
looks like I'm hitting a different problem than you were and it looks like it
can be made to work, I'm just somehow setting up my controller incorrectly
in code. I'll have to keep poking at it, I guess.
