As far as I can tell, nothing.
I've seen the same problem with binding to a table column's "enabled"
causing an error when running on 10.3.9, but working fine on 10.4. I
did a work around of programatically binding it only if running 10.4
or later.
So at the very least the documentation is incorrect (it may also be
that it works in 10.3's before 10.3.9 and thus correct and it be a
10.3.9 specific bug, but that seems unlikely).
