Do you have a method called "desc"? You didn't list one.
If you want access it directly (which I assume you may given use of
@public) did you try myTrackInstance.desc? ...but I would follow the
advice that Shamyl gave you and use an accessor method.
Also do you have the compiler configured to call default constructors/
destructors for C++ ivars in objective-c classes? "Call C++ Default
Ctors/Dtors in Objective-C"
