NSMailDelivery now in deprecation w/Leopard

I am successfully using NSMailDelivery API under Tiger.

But I have noticed its' deprecation under Leopard. The doc's are very thin on NSMailDelivery and do not mention the alternatives, if any.

Has Apple taken away my (Cocoa) ability to programmatically email with attachments, in the background, with no alternative provided?
