We're using NSSpellchecker without the UI from a cross platform app. Is there any way to tell the spell checking system to learn a word? I see unlearnWord: and ignore word APIs, but none to add a word to the dictionary.

It's an undocumented method, but as far back as 10.3.9 NSSpellChecker will respond to "learnWord:"
