objectsForXQuery: can return Foundation objects?

  • Subject: objectsForXQuery: can return Foundation objects?

According to the documentation, "objectsForXQuery:constants:error: method returns an array potentially containing both NSXMLNode objects and Foundation objects corresponding to the atomic types (NSNumber, NSString, NSCalendarDate, and so on)".

Under what conditions will it return anything other than an NSArray of NSXMLNodes? Do you have to manually post-process NSXMLDocuments whenever you load them, re-setting the object values if you want to get typed values out of objectsForXQuery ?

Jon
