leopard and conflicting document types

Hi list,

the problem is related both to finder and cocoa

1- In the finder, when I choose my app as default app for a certain kind of documents, the icon is not my app's

there are two apps that claim the same extension, but with different LSItemContentTypes
Why is the other app taking precedence over mine?

There is also an mdimporter that declares its UTTypeIdentifier as being the LSItemContentTypes of the other app.

2 - [[NSWorkspace sharedWorkspace] incoForFile:...] displayes the generic document icon, not event the icon displayed in the Finder.
How can I solve that problem?
