Hi List,

A couple of days ago I had written a request for help with getting IB 3 to recognize a class I'd created in Xcode and make it available as a custom class for my File's Owner. Unfortunately, nobody was able to provide much help...

Except that Kevin's blog suggested typing in the class name to the Identity Inspector. Sure enough, even though there was no autocompletion as I typed, IB 3 accepted the name and my new IBOutlet became available at last to File's Owner!

So, thanks Kevin! and I hope this helps someone else.

Best Regards,

ScottB

I know that a common question among IB users that are starting to use IB 3 after migrating from IB 2 is: how to I subclass something? It was so easy in IB 2 with the class browser, and now I have no idea how to do it in IB 3?

In order to answer peoples' inquiries on this, I wrote a blog post on my site that explains how to do this:

Feel free to check it out.
