Hi Robert,

I have no difference in image quality using simple color adjusting filters. I am not sure how the UnsharpMask filter kernel looks like, but is it possible that the filter increases the image size according to its input radius and such? GaussianBlur is doing that for sure.

another good source of information, where you could post your request is the Quartz-Dev mailinglist at email@hidden

Cheers
Volker

Is anyone else having trouble with CIFilters producing "poor" images when running under Leopard?

For example, I have an image scaling routine that first applies a CILanczosScaleTransform, then applies a CIUnsharpMask filter to sharpen up the scaled down image. The CIUnsharpMask filter produces black lines around the image. Removing the CIUnsharpMask filter fixes the problem.

I have similar results with other filters such as brightness, contrast, exposure, etc. All of these filters seemed to work perfectly under Tiger.
