NSToolbarItem tooltip delay

Is there a way to control the amount of delay before an NSToolbarItem will show its tooltip? My toolbar is fairly dense. I'd like to shorten the delay from its current amount (~1 second?) to a shorter amount (maybe 1/4 second). _______________________________________________
