I'm trying to use IKImageView and I'm confronting with the same issues. It seems that Apple people just didn't finish their work. They published the final documentation but they did not implement it fully.

I hoped 10.5.1 would bring some news...

So: do someone know if and when Apple will release the real IKImageView? Will it have a (now missing) "imageAlignment" property? Will it have a "animate" property?
