Right after I sent this, I realized I could just call validateToolbarItem: on the item's target.

Hello,

I have a toolbar item with a view. According to the documentation, validate has to be overridden to enable/disable it. However, I want to use the value returned by validateToolbarItem: to enable/disable it, but can't figure out where to get this value within the subclass of NSToolbarItem. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks,
Mitchell Livingston
