swapping textfields

Hello,

There doesn't seem to be a way for an NSTextField to maintain the alpha it gets from its parent window through various content updates. So, I guess I'll have to swap out the NSTextField itself with each update to the value that needs displaying.

Is there a way to swap out NSTextView components directly, or do I have to add/remove them from a NSView, or swap NSViews, or....?
