NSData *yourData;

NSFileHandle *fileHandle = [ NSFileHandle
fileHandleForUpdatingAtPath: yourPath ];

... fill/create a valid NSData instance ...

[ fileHandle writeData: yourData ];

...

[ fileHandle closeFile ];
