Andre,
That worked! All I had to do was turn on core animation for the
IKImageView (even though the other views in the hierarchy didn't
have it on in the first place), and it "magically" was able to
move. I, too, am a little disappointed that the final build has so
many bugs in IB...
Thanks,
Sam

When core animation is turned on in the view, (IKImageView) it
should be fine, but when CoreAnimation is turned on for the window
contents itself, or a superview of some other view, those artifacts
appear. Turning off core animation (wants layer option) for any
superviews, especially the window contents (click the window's
background) should alleviate that. Surprised its not fixed in the
final build...

Hi,
I just got Leopard today, and I'm eager to get my first
CollectionView app working. However, I'm having trouble with what
I think is IB3: Twice now have followed the following steps, with
odd results each time:
1. Create a new collection view in a HUD in IB3.
2. Instantiate a collection view item controller also.
3. Instantiate a custom NSView.
4. Drag an IKImageView into the custom view.
Here's where the strangeness starts: Not only can I not drag it
around the view like I could normally (or is this just something
new in IB3?), but sometimes doing so will produce weird dragging
artifacts. Even stranger, I can still move the image view around
no problem using the arrow keys on my keyboard.
I can't find any IB attribute that would cause this to happen...
does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Sam Stigler
