-[NSPopUpButton indexOfItemWithRepresentedObject:] broken?

I have an NSPopUpButton of NSMenuItems, each of which has an NSTimeZone as a represented object. In Tiger, calling the method with an NSTimeZone would return the correct index of the represented object. In Leopard, the method appears to be returning -1 every time.

Did something about the implementation of this method change between Tiger and Leopard?
