And there is the one provided by Mac OS X of course.

Look at the Date Picker control. It has an option for graphical control that gives you the same sort of calendar that Time and Date Preferences panel uses.

Aha! I knew about the date picker, but I'd overlooked the graphical option. Thanks for the tip.
