Since I'm getting different results by moving the app I was thinking
of a permission issue..
That seems like an excellent guess. I'd think the point of interest
is where, in your code, are you doing I/O (probably O) to paths that
are relative to the location of the app? And why, since it's almost
never correct or necessary?
