DVD name via Cocoa?

I'm trying to get the volume name of a DVD through NSWorkspace's - mountedRemovableMedia and looking at the lastPathComponent. This doesn't seem to be working for me; I can only get at the first 15 or 16 characters of the name. But the Finder doesn't have any problem getting the full name. Am I going to have to use Carbon calls to find the full name?
