I think Scott was doing us the favour of getting rid of the profane
language, not to mention the insults targeted at (I assume) mmalc.

Also, in defence of losers everywhere, sometimes their loser
"friends" sign them up for high-traffic mailing lists "for a laugh".
If they don't know how to unsubscribe and they're getting hundreds or
thousands of messages a day, I think it's understandable that some of
them try to send unsubscribe requests to mailing lists... and chances
are that they won't see e-mails trying to help extricate them from
their situation, because they probably haven't set their mail client
(or server) up to file messages appropriately.
That's no excuse for the profanity or the insults, of course.
