NSPopUpButton in NSMatrix

I can't create a matrix of popups in IB like you can with many other things by (for eg.,) dragging a button to the window and option resizing. I've also tried setting the custom class of the cells in a matrix to NSPopUpButtonCell, but that doesn't work either. Seems that since NSPopUpButtonCell is a subclass of NSButtonCell that should work.

Any ideas?
