Your instinct is, fortunately, wrong in this case.

on high-level frameworks."
That is, if the 64-bit slices of your application depend on Cocoa,
they will be ignored on Tiger and earlier. Just make sure that the
deployment target of your 64-bit slices is set to 10.5.
